Join Walk Local on this beautiful one day walk on the fabulous Lavender Federation Trail. An 18km loop through the Eden Valley.

Surrounded by rolling hills and stands of ancient red gums, Eden Valley is known as the ‘Garden of Grapes and Gums’. At first glance, Eden Valley is a quaint and quiet little town, but look closely and you’ll see a bustling world of hidden vineyards, contoured through the scenic hillsides to produce some of the region’s most prestigious cool-climate wines.

Stopping enroute for morning tea admiring the views and then again for our picnic lunch enjoying famous Barossa produce.
In the afternoon we are transported to The Henschke Cellar Door, housed in the original 1860s Grain Barn at the family property in Keyneton was built from fieldstone and mud by first-generation winemaker Johann Christian Henschke, a stonemason and wheelwright by trade, and an early pioneer of South Australia.

As you taste through a line-up of beautiful wines in these intimate surrounds, watched over by portraits of Henschke forebears, you will feel very connected to the six generations of family who have contributed to the success of Henschke.
