Fern Glade Reserve is located just 3.9km from Burnie City.

It offers walks along the banks of the Emu River. A great place to spot platypus. Facilities include barbecue and picnic facilities and toilets, can be accessed by vehicles at the main entrance or from a second entrance 0.5km further up the river.

More than a dozen species of native orchids have been noted along the walking tracks. Vehicle access is restricted to the Reserve from dusk to dawn.
