It is well known that the human species originated in nature, and evolved to thrive in the natural world. Since we live constantly outside of the natural environment, it makes sense that spending time in a natural space leaves us with a sense of peace and relaxation.

The Walk includes :
Gentle, slow guided 3 hours forest therapy walk; A different activities inspired by the Japanese tradition of Shinrin-yoku Practice ; Japanese Green Tea and Snacks at the end.

You will enjoy beautiful Australian Eucalyptus forest with some unique wildlife encounters at Lane Cove National Park for an additional memorable experience !

Peaceful Eucalyptus forest along side of the river

The Riverside Walking trail is very peaceful and easy to walk. There are some significant trees on the way, lots of bird life and tall eucalyptus trees around. The trail is almost flat for all the way except a few mild steps.

This gentle three-hour riverside walk invites you to slow down, awaken your senses, and immerse yourself in nature. Set in the serene landscapes of Lane Cove National Park, Cumberland State Forest and the Blue Mountains in NSW, this guided experience will help you relax, reset and revitalise.

Led by an expert guide, you’ll explore the practice of Shinrin-yoku – the Japanese art of Forest Bathing – known for its ability to reduce stress and enhance well-being. As you journey through the forest, you’ll engage all five senses, deepening your connection with the natural world through mindful presence, deep listening, and breathing in the fresh forest air. The experience concludes with a soothing Japanese-inspired tea ceremony, leaving you feeling refreshed and restored.
