Good Music Month is an annual, state-wide, open access live music festival held in November, aiming to elevate the profile of live music in South Australia by providing a platform for artists, venues, and industry professionals to showcase their talents to both local and interstate audiences.
The festival will encompass a diverse range of original live music experiences, ranging from intimate blues bands in local pubs to grand-scale ticketed music festivals, opera, and orchestral concerts.
To generate an unprecedented collective of live music performances in South Australia, MusicSA will collaborate with pre-existing major festivals, events, and industry initiatives scheduled for November, to deliver a wealth of live music experience like never before seen in South Australia.
Geographically, Good Music Month will encompass the greater Adelaide metropolitan area while emphasising the development of a strong network of regional venues.
As Good Music Month establishes a national presence over the years ahead it will contribute to the growth of interstate tourism focused on the vibrant live music scene in South Australia. Simultaneously, it will offer unparalleled prospects for the local music industry to not only exhibit their talents both onstage and behind the scenes but also cultivate career paths and employment openings within the sector.
