Established by renowned Bordeaux winemaker Jacques Lurton when he fell in love with Kangaroo Island over 20 years ago. The Islander Estate Vineyards brings together the heritage and finesse of French winemaking with the freedom and natural environment of Kangaroo Island. Their mission is to handcraft unique, elegant, cool-climate wines that showcase the true potential of the Kangaroo Island wine region.

Their Flagship Tasting Experience shares the fruits of this mission. A personalised hosted tasting that explores our everyday Varietal range, our premium Estate range of European-styled wines & finishes with a tasting of each of our highly rated Flagship range wines, hand-crafted in small quantities to stand alongside the best wines on the Australian & world stage.

Make an afternoon of it. Indulge in a hosted Flagship Tasting Experience then relax with a regional Cheese & Charcuterie Platter to enjoy on the deck with relaxing rural surrounds, or take back to your accommodation.

If you are visiting with a group of 7 or more, have our venue to yourselves for a private group tasting experience. Allow our team to focus on providing you with an immersive tasting experience, the Tasting Room is entirely yours.

Join us for a Flagship guided tasting experience. Then select a bottle of your favourite wine to enjoy with a platter of regional cheese, charcuterie & local gourmet foods on the deck.
When you’re done we’ll prepare a take home selection of 6 bottles from our Varietal range of wines.
