The International Rose Garden Festival Morwell continues to blossom in strength and popularity. Held in mid-November to coincide with peak bloom, the festival celebrates the beauty of the internationally award-winning Morwell Centenary Rose Garden and the tireless efforts of the Friends of the Rose Garden volunteers.

The 2026 program delivers a vibrant mix of family-friendly activities and entertainment for all ages. Visitors can wander through the gardens, enjoy hands-on workshops, indulge in a traditional Devonshire Tea or browse a variety of market and garden stalls.

The festival launches Friday evening with food trucks, live performances, and a high-energy kid’s disco featuring DJ Nige.

On Saturday, families are in for a treat with performances by Costa the Gnome, Dirtgirl and Scrapboy from ABC’s Dirtgirlworld, who will bring their Grubby Bucket live stage show to life, along with a fun-filled Storytime session.

A highlight of the festival is the Night Light Installation. As the sun sets, the garden is transformed into a luminous wonderland with fairy lights, festoons, and colourful LEDs. The installation includes a neon light garden featuring glowing flowers, archways, bees, butterflies, balloons, and giant angel wings for the perfect photo opportunity.

Entry to the festival is free.
