Itinerary highlights

Dimalurru (Tunnel) Creek

Dimalurru (Tunnel Creek) National Park is Western Australia’s oldest cave system. Part of a 350 million-year-old Devonian reef system, the cave has been carved by the waters of Tunnel Creek flowing beneath the Napier Range.

Walk 750 metres into the tunnel, wading through freshwater pools. The cave features many beautiful formations, including stalactites and stalagmites and is also home to a variety of bats, olive pythons and freshwater crocodiles.

Home Valley Station

Home Valley Station is located close to the mighty Pentecost River, at the foot of the majestic Cockburn Range.

Experience an incredible sunset on the banks of the Pentecost River. Enjoy a refreshing drink, nibbles and watch the birdlife, saltwater crocodiles and stunning colours as the sun fades behind the ranges.

An evening exploring the Dusty Bar and Grill, an open fire and atmosphere of a working Kimberley station are highlights during your overnight stay. With a refreshing pool and green lawns, Home Valley Station is truly an oasis in the Kimberley.

Please note, since COVID Home Valley Station has not been open to the public and as a consequence we have adjusted our itinerary to stay at El Questro Station for three nights.

El Questro Wilderness Park

El Questro Station provides a base from where we set out and explore. Our permanent campsite is located beside the Pentecost River and a unique natural swimming hole. There are fantastic amenities and an iconic location to explore.

With our three night stay we visit El Questro Gorge, Zebedee Springs and Emma Gorge as a start. Each hike is rewarded with stunning natural swimming holes or thermal springs. Many of these ancient gorges have lush tropical gardens and waterfalls, there are majestic lookouts and mighty river systems. There is also an option of a horse ride, Champagne Chamberlain Cruise and gorgeous sunsets.

El Questro is home to 100 species of birds and many other unique wildlife and flora.

Purnululu National Park / Bungle Ranges

The Bungle Bungle Range in Purnululu National Park is one of the most striking geological landmarks in Western Australia.

The sheer grandeur of the sandstone massif is a sight to behold. To truly appreciate this unique World Heritage Listed location we guide you on walks along Piccaninny Creek, into Echidna Chasm, Cathedral Gorge and to the Piccaninny Creek Lookout.

An optional tour of a helicopter flight is available for those wanting an aerial view.
