The Kinkun section of the Burrum Coast National Park is a ‘4WD Access Only’ as a lot of the tracks in the National Park are soft sand and also dry weather only tracks.
The surrounding park is full of opportunities! Curl up in the shade with a good book or head to the beach for a sunset walk, quiet fish or a family game of beach cricket.
On the water, keep an eye out for dugongs feeding in the seagrass, and humpback whales breaching and playing in the deeper water. Fishing is bountiful here, thanks to the nearby Theodolite Creek.
Away from the beach, spend half a day checking out the wallum lowlands by four-wheel drive. At low tide, you can even drive along the beach.
