This delightful cruise supplies a pleasurable relaxing cruise full of history commentary of the war memorial parkland on the banks of the river, from the mouth of the river upstream for approx 3 km to the Gawler river mouth.

Leven River
Leven river is a tidal river situated on the North Central Coast only 15 minutes from the Spirit of Tasmania, Devonport and 25 minuets from Burnie.
We offer a variety of cruises however the bay cruise is perfect for those short of time an just want to see a snippet of our beautiful river scenery and bird sanctuary. Cruise along enjoying a history commentary of the regions development dating back to the 1880’s.
Azure Kingfisher and White Bellied Sea Eagles
Whilst sitting back enjoying the river serenity you may spot the endemic Tasmanian Azure Kingfisher and the White Bellied Sea Eagle. These birds are majestic and add to the beauty of the river. With a keen eye try and sight a platypus that may be floating or swimming on the surface freshwater along the river.
There are many interesting history stories and tales that the captain delivers in the historic commentary along the way. some of the stories will send shivers up your spine and some will have a contrasting humor that will shake your belly with laughter.
