Operation information

Luke Tscharke Photography

Luke Tscharke Photography offers workshop experiences that move beyond rigid schedules to embrace Tasmania’s wild, dynamic nature.

Based near Hobart, Luke provides an adaptive approach where locations are chosen based on deep understanding of weather patterns, tides, and optimal timing for Milky Way or aurora forecasts. This ensures participants are in the right place at the right time to capture remarkable images.

Formats include multi-day adaptive journeys, private sessions, local photowalks and online training. Small group sizes enable personalised instruction. Participants develop crucial planning skills to confidently create their own photographic adventures, covering grand landscapes to specialised techniques like infrared photography and UV biofluorescence.

As an award-winning photographer and Sony Digital Imaging Advocate, Luke provides expert guidance and access to professional loan equipment.

All activities adhere to Nature First and Leave No Trace principles, fostering deeper respect for the environment being captured. Complete support includes pre-workshop preparation and post-workshop assistance to ensure learning continues long after participants return home.
