The ramp is exposed in northeasterly weather and launching and retrieving in breezes in excess of 20 knots can be difficult. Boaters should also show caution when tides are low and waves are accentuated. Care should be taken.
In times of heavy usage, additional parking can be found at the Recreational Ground behind the hotel.
