The unique Captain’s Cottage is adjacent the Murray River and it’s creeks just past Renmark and is available for hire on weekends and school holidays.
The property’s original and unpretentious farmhouse was once home to Captain Bill Drage, one of the River Murray’s last paddle-steamer captains. The buildings have been sympathetically restored with consideration and authenticity. It is ideal for 2-5 people who love history, nature, free access to kayaks and trails and the quirkiness of having amenities in out-buildings.
Within minutes of Renmark-Paringa, our property sits on the Murray River directly opposite the Murray River National Park. Explore the wetlands using our quality kayaks and easy creek trails.
The Captain’s Cottage is a renovated 1920’s farmhouse and out-buildings situated 350m from the water’s edge. Outdoors there is a fire pit, lovely shade area and plenty of lawned space for the kids to kick a footy.
