BIG4 Low Head Tourist Park is located in Northern Tasmania, approximately a 40-minute drive from Launceston (51 km) via the East Tamar Highway.
The 12 large self-contained cottages are ideal for two to six people. Each cottage is appointed with queen-size beds with electric blankets, heating, air conditioning, a large bathroom, a well-equipped kitchen and a balcony to enjoy the breathtaking water views of the Tamar River.
The 6 economy cabins are ideal for the budget traveller and can accommodate from two to five people (2 adults and up to 3 children) with double beds, electric blankets and also heating, air conditioning, cooking and bathroom facilities.
BIG4 Low Head Tourist Park also has powered, unpowered and ensuite sites, a clean and modern amenities block with disabled facilities, free barbecues, a camp kitchen and laundry. The park is just minutes from a wide variety of attractions. Wander the beaches, book a nightly penguin tour, and visit the Low Head Lighthouse and Foghorn, the Maritime Museum, the Watch House Museum and the Bass and Flinders Centre. Go for a drive and explore the Tamar Valley Wine Route, pick organically grown berries at Hillwood Berry Farm or visit Beaconsfield Mine Museum, Seahorse World and Platypus House at Beauty Point.

Cottage
The Cottages are ideal for singles, couples, groups and families. All 12 of our cottages come with queen beds, 6 are ideal for singles or couples (maximum 2 occupants), 2 with an additional queen bed (maximum 4 occupants), 2 with two single beds (maximum 4 occupants) and 2 with 4 single bunks (maximum 6 occupants). The Cottages are well appointed with split system heating and cooling, fully equipped kitchen facilities with stoves and ovens, spacious bathrooms, TV’s with inbuilt DVD players and private undercover balconies with views of the Tamar River.
Camp Site
Typically a Camp Site is a site, without power connection, where people on holiday can pitch a tent.
Ensuite Site
Typically an Ensuite Site is a camp site providing toilet and shower facilities for the sole use by the occupants of that site.
Park Cabin
Typically a Park Cabin is a semi-portable dwelling situated within Caravan/Cabin Park. It includes full cooking facilities and private shower/toilet.
Powered and Unpowered sites
Ideal for caravans, motorhomes, tents, camper trailers and all other RV’s. All sites come with mains water, grey water sullage, black water dump point and access to modern amenities including toilets and showers, camp kitchen, laundry with coin operated washers and dryers and ironing facilities and undercover BBQ area with free gas BBQ’s. Pets are welcome (terms and conditions apply)
