Two beautifully appointed B&Bs provide guests with “an ambience like no other”. The Riesling Studios are in the beautiful Clare Valley, only a 1.5 hour drive north of Adelaide in the heritage listed town of Mintaro.
Choose between Irongate Studio in Mintaro, which has been tastefully and creatively transformed from a working art studio to a modern luxury B&B that can accommodate up to four guests. It has two queen-sized bedrooms, each with a private en-suite. Guests can enjoy a romantic getaway or a memorable holiday with friends.
Or choose the Historic Mintaro Post Office, a luxurious B&B still maintaining the original old world charm. Enjoy a romantic getaway for two or a holiday with friends. Features include two queen-sized bedrooms, clawfoot bath, wood fire, large living areas and fully equipped kitchen.

Irongate Studio
This beautifully appointed B&B with private entrance can host up to a total of four guests with two Queen Sized bedrooms each with private en-suite.
Enjoy a choice of breakfast provisions including bacon/free range eggs, cereals ,juice, homemade jams and local honey and an extensive assortment of teas and Nespresso coffee pods. A bottle of Clare Valley wine and a grazing plate will be waiting for you on arrival.
Guests can enjoy the use of full kitchen facilities, undercover BBQ and entertaining area, and private in-house laundry facilities, and those cold winter nights are well catered for with underfloor heating in the bathrooms.
Local wine and brewed beer is supplied with a choice of gourmet meals locally made for guests who want to graze the valley during the day and enjoy the evenings at “home”.
All weather conditions are well supported by a split system air conditioning in both bedrooms and the living area.
You will be spoiled with quality Sheridan linen, towels and bath robes. There is a TV / DVD in living the room and a TV in each bedroom or sit and listen to music in the reading nook with filtered light through the timber shutters.
Historic Mintaro Post Office
The delightfully renovated and dedicated Post Office residence has been described by guests as having a beautiful ambience – tastefully decorated and everything you could possibly need – just pack your suitcase. The two queen-sized bedrooms are very private and whilst there is only one bathroom with toilet, shower and claw bath, the additional half bathroom and laundry includes a toilet and basin and all toiletries and accessories.
There is a slow combustion heater in the lounge to enjoy in the cooler months from Easter to the long weekend in October, and split system air-conditioning units provide comfort all year round.
The kitchen and separate dining room are fully equipped and the separate lounge opens onto a patio where you can sit and enjoy a complementary bottle of Clare Valley wine or port and chocolates while enjoying the beautiful view. Or enjoy breakfast on the patio and take in the beauty of a Mintaro sunrise.
The Mintaro Post Office front two rooms are dedicated to the postal agency. The Post Office is open from 9.00am to 10.00am Monday to Friday to service the local Mintaro residents and outlying community. A great opportunity to meet and chat with the locals.
