The Whitsundays is based right in the heart of the system, the reef is perfectly poised just off the central Queensland coastline a two hour passage away. The GBR sets the scene for one of the world’s most incredible game fishing destinations. At the reef, pelagic species targeted are the elusive black marlin, sailfish, Spanish mackerel, tuna, mahi-mahi, wahoo and giant trevally.

Also, tasty table fish caught from the reef are coral trout, nannygai, red emperor and a variety of sweetlip, snappers and cod. This whole boat booking charter option is ideal for those choosing to share this experience with friends and family.

Private half-day fishing charter – Hamilton Island (4 hours)

Whole boat bookings are perfect for small groups or those wanting to spoil themselves with a more exclusive custom fishing experience.

These charters are customised to suit the client’s needs & allow guests to target a specific fish type or a fishing style. Choose from bottom fishing for reef fish, like small/large-mouth nannygai, coral trout, red emperor, grassy emperor, Indonesian snapper, cobia and a variety of sweetlip/cod. Or you can troll for pelagic fish like Spanish mackerel, spotted mackerel & longtail tuna using lures, dead baits, skirts & hard body lures. A mixture of both styles of fishing is very popular.
