Chowilla Station offers accommodation at its historic shearer’s quarters on the banks of the River Murray, nestled amongst box trees and red gums.
The quarters are ideal for gatherings of family or friends and can accommodate up to 25 people.
The Murray and the myriad of creeks and tributaries offer some of the best locations for fishing, kayaking and water-skiing in South Australia.
It’s also paradise for nature-lovers, birdwatchers and bushwalkers.
It’s a place where children can disconnect from technology and get back to basics.
The historic woolshed located adjacent to the quarters can be hired for functions such as weddings and birthday parties.
The property has been held by the Robertson family since 1864 and its floodplain is a wetland of international significance, listed under the RAMSAR Convention.
