Forest Walks Lodge offers eco friendly accommodation on the edge of the Great Western Tiers and Tasmanian wilderness, midway between Launceston and Devonport. We offer a complete package of guided walks, fine food and Tasmanian wines, together with tastefully decorated ensuite bedrooms.

The eco-lodge is surrounded by mountains and wild forest, an easy drive from Hobart and on the way to Cradle Mountain. There are several excellent walking tracks close by including Liffey Falls and Meander Falls and a plethora of birdlife surrounds the lodge. Our fly fishing stream has captured the imagination of both local and international fishermen and women, as well as our octogenarian guests who find it a pleasant walking destination.

With only three spacious bedrooms, each of our guests can be assured personal service and attention to detail. All meals are offered in house using local and organic ingredients where possible and prepared to the individual requirements of our guests.

Experience has shown us that a two-day visit will provide you with the best opportunity to maximise the benefits of relaxing in such a peaceful environment.

A longer stay will enable you to make the most of the walks and other activities in the valley.
