A rare opportunity to participate in a women’s weaving workshop in Kakadu National Park with Aboriginal weavers from the Kakadu West Arnhem region.
This is a multi-day workshop experience (six days and five nights, excluding Darwin). Due to Bininj cultural restrictions this specialised tour is open to Women and Girls only. Limited to maximum 20 participants.

Accommodation is included at the remote Hawk Dreaming Wilderness Lodge on private land within Kakadu National Park.
Your lead weaving instructor will be from the Manilikarr clan. Learn how to collect pandanus and other plants and prepare the fibres for dyeing before learning to weave.

Kakadu Cultural Tours
Kakadu Cultural Tours are owned and operated by Djabulukgu Association representing the Traditional Owners of Northern Kakadu and parts of Western Arnhem Land.
They specialise in Aboriginal cultural and nature based cruises, tours and wilderness lodge accommodation in this World Heritage Area. Guests travel in small groups by comfortable 4WD vehicles and boats, escorted by expert guides, predominantly Aboriginal, ensuring high standards of service and a unique cultural experience.
The Guluyambi Cultural Cruise is a unique boat tour on Kakadu’s scenically spectacular East Alligator River. Take in the wonderful pristine wilderness of this World Heritage landscape as you leisurely cruise up stream. An Aboriginal guide provides guests with an insight into their culture and local mythology, the river’s abundant food chain, traditional uses for many plants and animals as well as bush survival skills. Disembark on the Arnhem Land side of the river for a display of traditional hunting and gathering implements. Limited to just 25 guests, the Cruise ensures an intimate and personalised cultural experience.
